Unlike traditional humidifiers that only allow for cleaning the water tank, our advanced design allows for the ultrasonic humidifier engine (UV humidifying engine) to be cleaned as well. This comprehensive cleaning ensures that any type of clean water – tap water, bottled water, or filtered water – can be used safely in the humidifier.
Detailed Cleaning Instructions
Safety First: Always unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet before starting the cleaning process.
Disassemble and Clean: Separate all parts and use a soft sponge with mild detergent or baby bottle cleanser to create a lather and clean each component thoroughly. Gently wipe the surface of the UV humidifying engine to remove any limescale (ensure to cover the port with the cap when cleaning the UV humidifying engine).
Dry Before Use: Ensure all parts are completely dried before reassembling and using the humidifier.
Cleaning Precautions
Gentle Cleaning: Clean the surface of the stainless steel water tank with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid using abrasive scourers or sponges, as they can damage the tank's surface.
Engine Care: When cleaning the UV humidifying engine, do not use hard brushes or scourers as they can scratch the surface and lead to reduced humidification or malfunction. Also, avoid cleaning with alcohol, acetone, citric acid, baking soda, vinegar, or other substances. Clean the UV humidifying engine with a soft sponge and keep the USB port cap in place. Make sure you do not accidentally bump the engine against any type of wall or hard surfaces.
Natural Discoloration: Discoloration of the stainless steel water tank due to UV LED is a natural occurrence and does not indicate a product defect. Rainbow or yellow stains, white or metallic spots may appear due to heat or drying during the cleaning process; this is normal and does not affect operation. However, if cleaning is necessary, fill the tank with hot water and diluted vinegar or citric acid (4-5 teaspoons), let it sit for 30 minutes to an hour, then discard the water, wipe with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and use.
Component Care: Identify the parts that cannot be cleaned related to the power supply and only clean the parts that are washable.
Washable Components: Stainless steel water tank, tank cover, spray nozzle, upper cover, inner panel, lower cover, central axis, UV humidifying engine, vertical cap, directional cap, silent pad (keep the USB port cap in place when cleaning the UV humidifying engine).
Non-Washable Components: Touch station, adapter, and the UV humidifying engine magnet contacts are not washable. Take care to prevent water from reaching these parts.
Regular Maintenance: Humidifiers require regular cleaning (at least 2-3 times a week) as they use water. Although the UV LED helps to eliminate or prevent bacteria in the water, inactivity may lead to limescale or bacteria proliferation, so it's recommended to replace the water daily and perform cleaning as often as possible.
Please note that during the warranty period, if the humidifier does not operate due to customer negligence, parts must be purchased at the customer's expense. Attention to cleaning is important.
